Creative Child has been assessed using both the ITERS (Infant/toddler environment rating schedule) and ECERS (Early childhood education rating schedule) tools. Creative Child, Inc. received an accreditation for being a 4 star child care center in March of 2019. Creative Child, Inc. has been participating in Bright Stars since 2009.

The age groups at Creative Child range from 6 weeks to 4.5 years of age. There are six modules to the programs at Creative Child, Inc.

The first is our infant/yearling program. The program has 2 different rooms. The infant room ranges from ages 6 weeks to 9 mths. The yearling room ranges from 10 mths to 18 mths.  With lots of love and patience, in partnership with their parents and guardians, we nurture each infant with love and patience. Each infant requires tailored needs to their evolving growth. The infant and yearling care-givers strive to meet these needs daily by building a repore with parents and guardians and individualizing care ranging from feeding schedules, introducing novel foods, crawling and walking guidance, sleep schedules, and emergent peer socialization. The infants and yearlings go outdoors daily on our spacious buggies. The infants and yearling program also offers a small range of curriculum activities such as songs, reading, creative arts, and sensory experiences.

Our toddler programs are divided into two classrooms. The younger toddler room hosts children from 18 mths to 24 mths. The older toddler room ranges from ages 24 mths to 36 mths.  We help to develop the child's social, listening, recognition, and gross motor skills through a diversified, creative classroom full of manipulative and dramatic play, blocks, and open-ended art projects. The children spend a vast amount of time outdoors in our spacious playground. Once your child is coming upon their 3rd birthday, they will make the transition from toddlers to preschool.

Preschool at Creative Child, Inc. is also split into two separate age groups. The age groups are Preschool ¾ and Prek-K. In the pre-school setting there are different sets of milestones that are attained through fine motor skill practice with age appropriate materials such as markers, pencils, crayons, and scissors. The pre-school children also use a portion of their day to, exercise, play matching, use memory/ logic, and work on emergent letter and number recognition as well as printing letters and their own names. The children also engage in activities to support their social and developmental needs through center-based topic areas. . The children spend a vast amount of time outdoors in our spacious playground.

Our Pre-K program prepares the children for their journey into kindergarten. The reinforcement of letter and number recognition is taught using various learning approaches through our curriculum and is practiced daily. We strive for the children to practice sight words to prepare them for reading and writing in Kindergarten. Self-esteem, social skills, good hygiene, friendship, and much more is taught to these fast learners with lots of positive reinforcement. Seasonal field trips are also planned throughout the year for this age group (pandemic pending). At the end of the school year, we have a festive graduation for the children moving onto kindergarten.
